Kingston Park Raceway 

Is it your first time Go Karting? Well, you came to the right place! Find our most frequently asked questions here to put your mind at ease so on the day you can focus on having One Hell Of A Day Out! Feel free to contact our sales team on 3826 2255 for any further questions. 

 
Don't worry if you're not sure how it all works, we get asked this question all the time!
On the Le Mans Track (which runs the Schumacher Karts), the sessions are 10 minutes each and approximately 9-10 laps. The average lap time is around 64 seconds but that is depending on the driver's ability.
On the Monte Carlo Track (which runs the Formula Karts), sessions are 6 minutes each and drivers will complete between 10 and 12 laps at an average lap time of 35 seconds. 
When you go through the checkout to purchase your karting tickets, you will see a prompt beneath the racing tickets you're purchasing, called "New Membership Fee". This fee is $5.50 per person, and is valid for 12 months.
A driver membership is essential for all drivers at Kingston Park; as membership covers insurance, helmet hire, shoe hire, and even earns you a FREE Birthday Race every year that it's valid! 
Once you purchase your membership in the checkout, you must complete a driver registration which can be done online here.

Kingston Park Raceway has a number of membership levels that offer various member benefits. All memberships offer frequent driver points, free birthday races and VIP invitations to closed events! Membership is just $5.50 per annum.
Everyone is welcome to join Race Nights and race in our Friday Night Challenges, which start at 6:30pm most Friday evenings. You can see all of our Friday Night Challenge dates and availabilities here!
We cater for kids partiesadult parties, Bucks and Hens parties, and even larger corporate and special events. We also offer exclusive venue hire for large groups! In short, we can cater for ages from 5 years to 99 years and have a range of BBQ's, picnic areas and off-track entertainment keep you happy!

If you have a large group 50 - 400 people, you may like to book the raceway for an exclusive hire in which you can secure ALL TRACKS and even the arcade area for your special event! To organise exclusive venue hire, email our Special Events team at specialevents@kingstonpark.com.au
We have a strict no drink and drive policy, but with prior arrangements we will allow eskys with alcohol on to the property for consumption after the event is completed. Contact our Sales team on 3826 2255 to make any arrangements. Please also observe our no glass policy as stated in the terms and conditions.
You guessed it... Bucks parties at Kingston Park Raceway are the BEST Bucks parties in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, and we have a number of events to suit various budgets. Call our Events team on 3826 2255 or check this out on our website to see the range of race packages we have on offer.
You're welcome to pack an esky and use our BBQ facilities to cook up a feast at the park, however we do not allow fast food outlet meals, so please note this prior to making your bookings

The best go karting for kids is at Kingston Park Raceway, of course! Our famous Formula Fun Karts, for ages 10+, zip around on the 660m Monte Carlo Track at speeds of up to 40km per hour! They're a REAL race kart, on a REAL full size track, offering hours of fun and excitement for the kids.
Each track and kart has a seperate lap record... However;
  • Drivers in Schumacher Karts on the LeMans Track on a good day could post a 61:50 second lap.
  • Drivers in the Formula Karts on the Monte Carlo Track could post a 33:65 second lap time.

No driver's license is required to drive the go karts at Kingston Park Raceway. However, you will be required to watch a safety briefing, and all drivers will be observed by the track marshals for your safety.
You will receive a safety briefing prior to driving the karts and our friendly marshals are on hand to offer driving tips and advice on how to get the best lap times!

The best go kart track in Queensland is Kingston Park Raceway, of course! The Le Mans Track is a 1100m outdoor circuit built to international standards; with long straights, sweeping corners and fast and furious chicanes to test the rivers skill! Come on down and test it for yourself!

For comfort and safety, you mustn't wear any clothing that it too flowy and will obstruct your vision or get caught in any moving parts. You must wear enclosed shoes. If your hair falls past your shoulder blades, you will also be required to wear a hooded jacket or jumper to contain the hair.
We recommend that you wear long sleeves and pants whilst racing the karts, however this is not a requirement. Shorts and shirts are accepted.
Yes, all drivers must wear enclosed shoes, like joggers. Shoes of limited sizes are available for loan at the counter. Complimentary shoe hire is included in a valid Kingston Park Raceway Membership.
Heights vary depending on the kart you're hoping to drive:
  • To ride in a Dual-Seater Kart, you must be 10 years of age or above, and a minimum of 900mm tall 
  • To drive a Formula Kart, you must be 10 years of age or above, and a minimum of 1200mm tall
  • To drive a Schumacher Kart, you must be 16 years of age or above, and a minimum of 1600mm tall.
The minimum age to drive or ride in our Go Karts is 10.
Ages vary depending on the kart you're hoping to drive:
  • To ride in a Dual-Seater Kart, you must be 10 years of age or above 
  • To drive a Formula Kart, you must be 10 years of age or above
  • To drive a Schumacher Kart, you must be 16 years of age or above.
The Schumacher Karts at Kingston Park Raceway reach speeds of up to 70kph on the long straights of the LeMans Track.
The fastest go karts in Brisbane are at Kingston Park Raceway; where our Schumacher Karts reach speeds of 70kph on main straight before you swoop into the hairpin, and accelerate away!

YES! Absolutely, you can. You may just need a towel and a change of clothes...
We do still operate in the rain; only in the event of a heavy downpour or thunderstorms, do we have to take our drivers off track.
If our track marshals make the decision to take you off track, it's normally only to let the rain pass and then you can get straight back out there! If it doesn't pass, we can organise ride replacements so you can come back to redeem your races at another time.
