Refund Policy

Special Notice

Due to the dynamics of go kart racing, your race can be delayed due to many varied interruptions and as such, tickets are sold on the basis that during peak periods customers accept there can be waiting times between races that may be up to one hour or more.

COVID-19

The following information has been provided to business' by the QLD government on the ACCC website:

"If cancellation occurs due to government restrictions, it is unlikely the customer will be entitled to a refund under the Consumer guarantee provisions of the Australian Consumer Law. A business is still required to honour its existing terms and conditions, including in respect to cancellation and change policies. You may agree to another remedy with the customer, such as providing a partial refund, a credit note or voucher, or postponing the services until a later date if possible" 

As such, with all COVID-19 related cancellations, the normal refund policy applies. However, if the cancellation is due to a lockdown, we are happy to reschedule free of charge. Please note that during lockdowns, our staff are not in office so will not be able to respond to enquiries until the lockdown has concluded.

Inclement Weather

If any part of your race package is postponed due to inclement weather and you have started your racing, each driver will receive a replacement ride pass for the unused portion of the ticket as per the terms and conditions displayed. Replacement passes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Ride replacement passes will be offered in the case of inclement weather at the discretion of management. Ride replacement passes are not issued on the day but will be processed by the administration department directly onto your membership card and you will be advised in writing within five working days. Interstate visitors will receive a proportional refund for unused rides.

Postponed Events

Should we be unable to start your event due to inclement weather and it is postponed by Kingston Park Raceway, we will reschedule your event at a mutually agreeable time, which is to be no longer than 6 months from the original booking date. Should you not agree to any proposed new dates with a period of 6 months from the original booking date, all prepayments will be forfeited.

Cancelled Events

If your circumstances change and you have to cancel your event, in accordance with our terms and conditions, you will receive a full refund if you provide more than 7 days notice of your cancellation. Refunds are processed by the administration department within five working days of the cancellation. Customers who cancel within 1-7  days of the event date will not receive a refund. 

Events Running Late

Kingston Park Raceway strives to run all scheduled races at the allocated time and in an attempt to stay on schedule. We are unfortunately unable to delay races to wait for late comers. Any driver who arrives late for their pre-booked event may miss out on a portion of their races. To avoid any loss of races, all drivers are required to arrive 45 minutes prior to the start of their event. Management will do their best to work with the event organiser; however, races cannot be delayed for late arrivals if there is an adverse impact on the running of the day.

Replacement Ride Vouchers

Customers who wait in excess of one hour for a race session and choose not to continue may request a ride replacement, which will be approved at the discretion of management. On approval, ride replacements for any unused portion of your ticket will be issued directly to your membership card by the administration department within five working days and will have a validity of 30 days from the date of issue. Interstate visitors will receive a proportional refund for unused rides.

Special Consideration

No refunds are issued at the point of sale counter; however, if you believe you require special consideration for a refund you are required to submit your request in writing to management. Where a request is approved, refunds will be issued by the administration department within five working days. Note: Special consideration refunds will incur a $25.00 surcharge applied to each transaction for administration purposes.

REFUND POLICY FOR TICKETS


More than 7 days before the event date

No Charge

Please note that your booking can be altered or cancelled/refunded up to 7 days before the event date at No Charge.


1 - 7 days before the event date

$25 Administration fee
applies per ticket
You may make alterations to the booking but there are no cancellations/refunds allowed within 7 days of the event date. 

All alterations made within 1 - 7 days of the event date will incur a $25 per ticket charge for administrative purposes.

Once the booking has been altered from the original date we cannot offer refunds in the future if you decide to make further changes.


Day of the event

No Refunds

No refunds will be offered for go karting tickets sold to individuals who do not show on the day.  In addition, for all online sales pre-booked and reserved tickets there are no refunds as we will not be able to resell the rides on the day. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.


Merchandise
Our merchandise can be returned within 7 days of the original purchase of the product. A new product may be exchanged for another product or returned for a refund.

To be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The product was purchased in the last 7 days
  • The product is in its original packaging- The product isn't used or damaged- You have the receipt or proof of purchase- You obtained a Return Merchandise Number (RMN). 
Products that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for return.

Shipping charges

Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of a product are non-refundable.

You are responsible for paying the costs of shipping and for the risk of loss of or damage to the product during shipping, both to and from Kingston Park Raceway - Online Shop.
