With the karts prepped and ready to go, our drivers head on out to take their positions behind the pace kart in their two by two formation and as they complete their warm-up lap. The pace kart peels back into pit lane and the top 8 super finalists traverse down the main straight in their two by two all revved up to go and as the green lights went on and they’re off racing!
As our drivers proceeded out of corner one we saw some expert line taking and precise manoeuvrings by our super finalist as they moved into their positions and start on their racing defence. Steven Darlington and Joshua Manser going toe to toe for the first lap with Nathan Gallagher and Patrick Theodore hot on their racing line followed by Darran Hapuarachchi, Nick Darlington, Joshua Stewart, and Jack Norton.

Lap 5 we saw Jack Norton crashing at several corners dropping him to the rear of the field and with Joshua Stewart and Darran Hapuarchchi battling over 4th position. Steven Darlington still holding his solid lead defence in first position with a 2sec lead over Joshua Manser and Nathan Gallagher
With the race closing in to the waive of the checked flag the drivers made their last attempts to move up with the on track positions as they came thru the Sponsors Corner and hit the Main Straight Steven Darlington and Joshua Manser going toe to toe. Joshua Manser looking for an opening and the right tactic to pass and take first position from Steven Darlington but the indomitable mountain Steven Darlington defended the top position showing the crowd his racing skills on the track.
Lap 7 -> 8 as our drivers exited the Sponsors Corner on the final lap and came onto the Main Straight, our special guest at the checker station is James Barton ready to wave the flag. Steven Darlington and Joshua Manser once more were toe to toe down the straight for the dash to victory at the flag with Steven Darlington claiming 1st position over Joshua Manser and Jamie Reid with a 0.073 sec difference over the line who both gave them self a great challenge on track and was followed by Nathan Gallagher, Patrick Theodore, Darran Hapuarchchi, Nick Darlington, Joshua Stewart and Jack Norton.
