Friday night Challenge 8-9-2017.
Tonight we had a grid of 22 drivers ready to take on the 1100 meter lemans track in our 8.5 performance tuned Honda powered karts. The top 8 drivers with the most points will make it into the Super Final and they are MATT PETERS, NATHAN GALLAGHER, CHRIS CAMERON, TOMMY-LEE MCGRATH, HARRY COLLINS, JOSHUA STEWART, LEON BROWN and DYLAN BERDEROW.
All drivers were pretty revved up and were quick to mount the karts and head out for the pace lap. It was good crew and they were nice and steady as they make there way down the main straight…. the greens appear and they're off. Go Go Go they were off and racing into turn one. All drivers start to shuffle as they mussel in close with a bit of before they exit the bend and start to fall in to racing formation.
Unfortunately for CHRIS CAMERON he takes it too wide on turn 7 getting pushed into the tyre wraps dropping him to last place. 2nd lap MATT PETERS manages to hold pole with NATHAN GALLAGHER stuck on his tail. TOMMY-LEE MCGRATH jumps up to 3rd due to CHRIS CAMERON’s mistake on turn 7 running it wide on the dirty racing line there’s no grip out there.
Heading towards the back HARRY COLLINS and JOSHUA STEWART have a face off at turn five with JOSHUA STEWART diving down the inside of HARRY COLLINS claiming 4th. As for DYLAN BERDEROW manages to overtake LEON BROWN as they drag down the straight into Turn . TOMMY-LEE MCGRATH, JOSHUA STEWART, HARRY COLLINS and DYLAN BERDEROW race four wide as they enter turn 2 the outcome was inevitable and the tyres were smashed as they exited turn 2
Lap 4 MATT PETERS holds the lead with a 2 second lead from NATHAN GALLAGHER. As for DYLAN BERDEROW manages to claim 3rd pushing JOSHUA STEWART to 4th. Then we had CHRIS CAMERON makes his way to 7th place leaving LEON BROWN in the dust. Lap 5 HARRY COLLINS and JOSHUA STEWART at it again as they fight for 4th to bad for JOSHUA STEWART goes sending into turn 2 tyres giving it to HARRY COLLINS and also NATHAN GALLAGHER and DYLAN BERDEROW at it as well racing for second but only for DYLAN BERDEROW to remain in 2nd.
Lap 6 and the field is starting to spreadand we know have a two second gap in between our front running 3. Lap 7 HARRY COLLINS starts gaining up on NATHAN GALLAGHER as he struggles to keep 3rd place as for MATT PETERS passes 1st HARRY COLLINS and DYLAN BERDEROW side by side but unfortunately HARRY COLLINS losses momentum dropping to 3rd place. As for LEON BROWN passes in last place. Last lap as they head down for the final stretch MATT PETERS and DYLAN BERDEROW are side on with MATT PETERS well truly passing checked first not far back NATHAN GALLAGHER and HARRY COLLINS as well side by side with HARRY COLLIN taking out third with the race over we have our winners .

2nd DYLAN BERDEROW
3rd HARRY COLLINS.
Fastest of the night went to DYLAN BERDEROW with a 60.855 second lap.
What a night we had with ups and downs, excitement and drama. What more could you ask for in the best karting event you can participate in outside of official competitive racing. With practice, 3 heats, the best drivers after all 3 heats going into a semi-final and then the best of the best going head to head for their shot at gold in the super final.
