2017 FRIDAY NIGHT CHALLANGE WEEK 32

Tonight we had one full grid battling it out, and they were ready for the challenge on the 1100m Le Mans Track in this weeks FNC Race Night competition. 

It was a great and fun night of racing with our drivers testing their mettle and skill on the track. After hard well fought battles from the practice rounds to Semi-Finals we enter the super final. The drivers we had entering were as followed:
Jorden Enders (234pts) Josh Dreaver (228pts), Jarryd Rogers (220pts), Carl Jones (214pts), Jarrad O Farrell (200pts), David Olson (194pts)

With the karts prepped and ready to go, our drivers head on out to take their positions behind the pace kart in their two by two formation and as they complete their warm-up lap. As the pace kart peels back into pit lane and they travel down the main straight in their two by two. They were all revved up anticipating the green light, then they were off racing!

As our drivers proceeded out of corner one we saw some expert line taking and precise manoeuvrings by our super finalist. As they moved into their positions and started on their racing. Jorden Enders, Joshua Dreaver and Jarryd Rogers were playing racing defence against Carl Jones, Jarrad O Farrell and David Olson.

Coming out of corner 8 and making their way onto the main straight we saw Jorden Enders holding a solid lead over Josh Dreaver. Which Josh Dreaver was looking for the right line to pass Jorden Enders. Closely behind we had Jarryd Rogers who was also lining up his line to pass and move on up to 1^st position. Jarrad O’Farrell who moved from 2^nd last progressing into the midfield closely followed by David Olson and Carl Jones looking for their chance to progress in the racing field and move up in positions.

As the Super Final continued on by the 3^rd -> 4^th lap the crowd was ecstatic as they watched and cheered from the side lines. The onlookers also using their phones to watch the race times live on the Kingston Park Raceway App. We saw Enders, Dreavers, Rogers breaking into the 61sec lap times. With Jorden Enders holding a 7sec lead advantage over Josh Dreaver and Jarryd Rogers with some great race overtaking we saw Carl Jones move upto 4^th position but was soon reclaimed by Jarrad O Farrell and with David Olson in hot pursuit to get his place on the podium.

Lap 5 we saw Jarryd Rogers break into the 60 sec lap times with a 60.972 (Best Lap of Day and of the FNC Race Night) while Jorden Enders was still holding his solid lead defence in first position with a 3sec lead over Josh Dreaver and Jarryd Rogers with Jarrad O Farrell, David Olson and Carl Jones all putting up a fight in the rear of the racing field as they all attempted to catch up to the forward field who were almost half a lap ahead.

Lap 6->7 we saw Josh Dreaver breaking into a 6sec lead and once again breaking into the 61sec along with Dreaver and Rogers with low 61sec lap times. Jarryd Rogers found his right line as he passed Josh Dreaver to make it into 2^nd position with the crowd cheering in excitement and in the rear of the field we saw David Olson gain the advantage over Jarrad O Farrell and Carl Jones and settling into 4^th position.
With the race closing in to the waive of the checked flag the drivers made their last attempts to move up with the on track positions as they came thru the Sponsors Corner and hit the Main Straight Jorden Enders had Jarryd Rogers right on his exhaust who was looking for the right tactic to pass and with Josh Dreaver looking for a chance to reclaim his 2^nd position in the field.

As our drivers exited the Sponsors Corner on the final lap and came onto the Main Straight and with our Track Marshall at the checker station ready to wave the flag Jorden Enders and Jarryd Rogers were neck and neck down the straight for the dash to victory at the flag with Jorden Enders claiming 1^st pos. over Jarryd Rogers who both gave themself a great challange on track and was followed by Josh Dreaver, David Olson, Carl Jones and Jarrad O Farrell

As the race was over and the drivers returned to the pits and excited about their results. The crowd once more gave them a cheer and applause, on a well fought race by our super finalists.After the race the finalists and their mates and family members made their way to the podium for the end of night presentation and awarding of our weekly prizes given to our podium finishers.
