NATIONAL HIRE KART CHALLENGE

This year the Pro Series will be renamed as the National Hire Kart Challenge.
Racing starts promptly at 9;00 am, (arrival at 8:15 am recommended)
This is Queensland's best managed and most competitive hire kart racing.

5 minute Qualifier and
4 x 10 minute Sprint races on the day

*** Top 5 Drivers will qualify to race in the National Championships.

Drivers must possess KPR - Pro Club License to compete (62.5 sec)

Minimum weight of 80 kg applies, Drivers may need weight jackets Link

Trophies and awards will be presented after each round.

CHAMPIONSHIP RACE DAY

Top 5 series point scorers will receive automatic entry to compete in the National Hire Kart Challenge
State against State including QLD, NSW and VIC teams.
The competition on the day will inc 5 mins Qualifing and 4 x 10 Sprint Races

NHKC Practise on Friday 30th October 2020 4pm start (1hr)
NHKC Race day is Saturday 31st October 2020 9am start
All 5 qualifiers will win:
A day trackside at the GC600 in Grandstand seats
Presentation Night Award Dinner
Trophies and Awards

To the winner, Bragging Rights as Australias Best Hire Kart Racer

Podium presentations are conducted at the conclusion of the event
Below are the first 9 race dates so you can put them in your diary.
1st March, 29th March, 26th April, 31st May, 21st June, 26th July, 30th August, 27th September, 18th October Final
Series top 5 point scorers will get free entry in to the Australian Hire Kart Challenge Finals to be held here at KPR on Saturday 31st October
Trophies and prizes will be presented to the top three drivers based on accumulated points for the year.

Rules

Additional Rules and Regulations

Drivers will be eligible to race in 9 rounds and only 8 rounds count towards the championship so you can drop your worst round.
Minimum driver weight of 80 Kg (you may use lead waist belt to meet minimum weight)
Drivers minimum age is 18 years for race events at Kingston Park Raceway
A pace kart will be used for all rolling starts.
On the rolling restart the karts will be in single file and as the pace kart pulls into the pits the lead driver will control the restart pace
If it is raining check the Facebook for updates on racing as we may still be dry and racing at the park so do not assume that the rain has cancelled your event.
No refunds will be paid for no shows on race day.
Transferring your payment to another time and date is available if you provide 3 days notice.
Race results will be declared on the day and no further discussion or debate will be entered into.
Mechanical breakdowns / flat tyres are a part of motor sport and no refunds will be offered should you fail to complete the race.
All kart damage due to accidents or collisions may be charged to the driver of the kart if deemed due to the drivers own actions
Once the race event has commenced the event is declared as run and no refunds are offered.
The stewards decision in any protest is final.
You are racing at the invitation of KPR and must follow the racing rules and regulations

Kart Changes, All Drivers will perform a mandatory kart swap for every race.

Pace Karts, To make the racing more even this year we will introduce a pace kart that will be deployed on track should there be a incident where a kart is on track it what is deemed to be a dangerous position for the driver or other racers

Grid Positions, Starting positions will be determined by the qualification shoot out.

Wet Race, In the event of a ‘rained out’ event, (NON EVENT) drivers will receive a rain-out pass for a future event at a date TBC.

Entry

Entry Fees

Entry for the event is $110 pp. (BBQ/ Sausage Sizzle lunch Provided)

A Pro Club membership is required. (You must have completed race laps quicker than 62.5 sec to race in Pro Club).

Starting positions in race 1 will be determined by your qualifying times.

Plus free entry in the Australian Hire Kart Championships to represent Qld in the state against State Challenge

A chance to be crowned AHKC 2020 at the Awards Dinner
