Friday Night Challenge 05/03/21

Posted on May 26, 2021 by

Welcome to another night here at Kingston Park Raceway! Our grids are packed, and our drivers are ready to take on the 1100m Lemans Track. After the grids have finished racing, we are taking the fastest 3 drivers from each grid and letting them battle it out head-to-head for the last winner takes all race for the evening. The top 6 drivers of the night are Michale Goodchild, Aarom How, Stewart De Visser, Luke How, Hudson James and Zach Howell.

This race is not just for bragging rights, tonight the fastest drivers are competing for an IPlay gift voucher entitling them to TWO FREE GAMES OF TEN PIN BOWLING.

Now for the main event, our drivers are ready and following closely behind the pace kart, locked in a 2x2 formation, pace kart pulls in and WE’RE OFF! Racing down turn one Aarom How got off to a great start holding onto the lead but not too far behind Michael Goodchild who is patiently waiting for an opportunity to strike and overtake Aarom How. OH NO! Luke How is getting a little pushy into turn one but Zach Howell keeps it together as he had the racing line.

Hudson James is now on the hunt as he moved his way up through the grid into 2nd place but is hungry for 1st. Hudson has the speed but can he execute a well-timed pass to secure the lead? The top six drivers are almost bumper to bumper as Aarom How goes on the defensive and backs everyone up. Little does he know Hudson was waiting for him and uses this chance to pass Aarom and TAKE THE LEAD! Michale Goodchild is not far behind watching the action take place in front of him as he maintains his 3rd place. The top 4 drivers have now started to pull away from the rest of the grid for the final fight to see who is tonight’s Champion!

Hudson James who was holding first has just taken a wide turn which has let Aarom catch up! The two drivers have now turned down turn 2 and are neck to neck…OH NO! Aarom How has lost it and drove into the side of Hudsom James! Both drives have now lost all that speed they held for so long leaving the perfect opportunity for Michael Goodchild to take the lead. Checker Flag is waving and Michael Goodchild has taken the lead meters away from the finish line!! WHAT AN UPSET! Followed by Hudson James and Zack Howell.

1st Michael Goodchild

 2nd Hudson James

 3rd Zack Howell

The fastest lap of the night Hudson James with a 61.748.

That’s a wrap for Friday Night Challenge Round 5 here at Kingston Park Raceway. Hopefully, everyone who joined us had ONE HELL OF A NIGHT OUT and hopefully you out there reading this will join us next time for the BEST adrenaline-fueled action you can get on four wheels down at Kingston Park Raceway!
